Bottom of the World Map
In the International Polar Year, NASA has released an interactive map of the bottom of the world. The map contains an 1,000 image photo mosaic of Antarctica captured by the Landsat 7 satellite orbiting 400 miles above the world. You can navigate over the icy land mass and zoom into amazing details. The map will be used by scientists to track changes in the environment including the thinning of ice sheets. Check It Out...
